ROOTED IN YESTERDAY.
—INTERNATIONALLY SOURCED FROM OTHER TIMES.
BEAUTIFULLY
TO WORN AGAIN
CONTEMPORARY WEAR
						FROM NEAR-FORGOTTEN TO WORN AGAIN.
Adornments for today—rooted in yesterday. Wearable. Faithful. Singular.
We offer vintage/antique jewelry and historically informed replicas (NOS glass, cast sterling). Necklaces (beads/coral/coins), coin necklaces, clasps & closures, pins, earrings, bracelets — one-of-one and short, numbered editions.
Mission (Jewelry)
Rescue. Reconstitute. Reactivate. We save typologies at risk of disappearance, reconstitute incomplete strands and coin pieces with period-correct or faithfully cast elements, and reactivate historic forms for contemporary wear.
We believe in the old-world ethos: pieces made for people, by hand, at household or atelier scale—not mass production. We champion one-of-one objects as the pinnacle of craft and personalization: quiet luxury crafted with time, attention, and skilled hands.
Many garments were conceived to read fully with adornment—to set emphasis, mark rite and status, and complete the silhouette. Beyond ensemble logic, these are objects of quiet beauty and character—pieces of history carried forward with care.
Not lost, but reconstituted—brought forward for you from the brink of disappearance.
Each acquisition includes a concise materials & provenance card (where known), with typology reference and care notes.
Not lost—reconstituted.
Salvaged strands and cast components revived as heirlooms for the present.
		What We Offer
Jewelry to wear now—and to complete historic ensembles in the spirit of earlier fashions. Because stable originals are rare, most offerings are newly composed from historic components and heritage-grade materials; when available, we also release authentic vintage/antique pieces in strong condition.
Uniqueness & Edition (Quiet Luxury)
Each work is hand-assembled—a dialogue between historic matter and contemporary craft. Most pieces are one-of-a-kind; select designs appear in short, numbered series. This is quiet luxury: patient sourcing, human-scale making, durable materials, and time layered into use.
Edition marks: One-of-one (OOO) by default; Limited x/xx series. Each piece ships with a materials & provenance card.
Design & Research Basis
Replicas and re-assemblies are benchmarked against very old pieces in the DRĂGAICA ROȘIE ethnographic collection and against archival references (CIMEC; ethnographic and art museums in Romania and the Balkans). Historic photography and paintings inform proportion, layering, weight, and fastening—so each contemporary piece speaks its typology.
Regional Typologies (selected), calibrated to costume and rite
Venetian lampwork in Bistrița & Bukovina — floral Venetian/Bohemian glass beads evidencing long-distance trade.
Coin necklaces (salbă) in Transylvania & Bukovina — antique silver coins on textile/cord carriers, mainly coins from the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
Mixed strands (beads + coins) in Muntenia, Transylvania, Bukovina — layered strings pairing glass beads with coin elements, often mixing components from different periods and regions.
Coral, pearls, garnets — precious materials with deep regional currency, frequently associated with glass beads.
Each listing notes the typology and reference (museum/archive/family piece) that informed the design.
Materials
Glass beads (historic & NOS) — Venetian/Murano lampwork and Bohemian trade beads (unused yet historic, typically 50–100 years old).
Coins — original silver coins (18th–20th c.) where suitable—akin to those documented in photographs and paintings of the period;
Metals (REPLICA pieces) – where originals are absent/unsuitable, faithful counterparts produced via lost-wax casting after period models (closures, pendants)- sterling silver (925) and silver-gilt (gold-plated sterling, hallmarked where applicable).
Metals (contemporary pieces) — sterling silver (925) and silver-gilt (gold-plated sterling, hallmarked where applicable) for closures, fittings, mounts, and bezels.
Organics & stones — coral, pearls, garnets (legacy stock/responsible sourcing).
Carriers — knotted silk, waxed cotton, or metal thread/wire chosen for period logic and contemporary durability.
Methods
Archival reconstruction — typologies reconstructed from CIMEC records, museum holdings, and historic photography to restore period proportion, stratification, and fastening logic.
Stabilization & restoration — support repairs (secure loose elements, replace missing links), mounting/re-mounting of pendants or coins in a reversible, conservation-minded manner.
Re-stringing & re-assembly — old strands re-strung on durable cords (knotted silk, waxed cotton, metal thread/wire); incomplete finds completed with period-correct NOS or like-for-like elements.
Hardware re-creation — essential clasps, bezels, and pendant mounts, lost-wax cast by Romanian artisans after period originals to preserve scale, weight, and feel.
Calibration & finishing — weight, drape, and rhythm tuned to read correctly with historic dress; selective use of Renaissance micro-crystalline wax on metals to slow oxidation.
Transparency — we don’t reinvent forms; we re-compose with original or contemporaneous materials so the piece reads true to its typology and time. Every listing identifies which elements are antique/vintage, NOS, or newly cast.
Categories & Condition
Vintage / Antique (Authentic) — originals with honest age (patina, tiny chips, surface wear, chromatic shifts, weave/metal irregularities). Condition: as found (any historic interventions noted). Minimal stabilization only if required.
Historically Informed Replicas (1:1) — faithful re-creations after museum/collection pieces, in precious metals with correct construction. Condition: as good as it gets for contemporary wear; we retain casting irregularities and reproduce historic surface textures—without dirt/patina.
NOS Heritage (Inspired) — compositions from New Old Stock glass (Venetian/Murano, Bohemian), sometimes with coral/pearls/garnets, finished in sterling or silver-gilt. Condition: typically, excellent—the luxury of historic material without wear patina.
Stringing & readiness — Listings state whether a piece is re-strung/re-mounted for ready-to-wear, or offered as found (historically fragile cord) for display/study.
Color note: screens and lighting vary; natural-light photos or a short video are available on request.

Sizing & Fit
We provide necklace length/drop, closure type, and approximate weight. Many pieces include adjustability. Ask for additional photos or a try-on video before deciding. 24-hour reservations available on request.
Care Snapshot
Protective finish: select pieces treated with Renaissance micro-crystalline wax (diminishes with wear).
Cleaning: products for precious metals + soft microfiber; avoid abrasives on glass; clean pearls with a damp cloth or pearl-safe solution; never use ultrasonic cleaners on glass, coral, pearls, or coin components.
Water & chemicals: remove before bathing, sport, perfumes, sprays; silver-gilt is sensitive—avoid over-polishing.
Impact & cords: lampworked glass is durable but not impact-proof; protect from shocks/drops. Silk cords dislike high humidity/aggressive substances.
Storage: cool, dry place; pouch/box; store pieces separately to avoid abrasion/tangling.
We can advise on re-waxing, restringing, or minor maintenance on request.
Craft & Sustainability
We re-use historic materials (antique/vintage/NOS beads), preserving material memory while reducing demand for new resources. Metalwork is commissioned from local artisans via lost-wax techniques; packaging is archival, acid-free inside and recyclable outside. Your purchase supports both living craft and heritage preservation.
Packaging
Each piece ships in an archival, acid-free presentation box with a soft pouch and an anti-tarnish tab. Outer cartons are fully recyclable. Inside you’ll find a materials & provenance card and care notes. Gift presentation available on request (we can include a handwritten message).
