FROM OLD TIMES

Antique Murano beads, re-mounted for modern lives

After a period of searching and discovery, we bring to light a selection of adornments inspired by times past, carrying the same radiance and elegance of Romanian tradition.
Our passion for adornments has become a journey through history: we’ve gathered older pieces that complete our archive, alongside recent variants suited to the present.
Glass beads have long symbolized refinement in traditional Romanian dress: salbe (coin necklaces) in Moldova and Maramureș, strands and pins in Transylvania, Muntenia, and Oltenia. In recent centuries, trade beads from Venice and Bohemia moved across cultures, valued not only as ornaments but also as goods of exchange, with cultural and economic impact.
Venice became a global benchmark for glassmaking — small works of art that traveled trade routes — while Bohemia stood out for fine techniques sought across Europe.
Today we present adornments recomposed from unused historical stocks, gathered with care from markets and warehouses far and wide. Each piece blends tradition with contemporary refinement and complements ie blouses, giving them new life.
Whether replicas or reinterpretations, glass beads remain a sign of timeless elegance — part of our cultural heritage — revived with respect and love for tradition.
